More Bulbs

I finished this today! There are a ton of the unbreakable bulbs on this...good thing they are way cheap. Started with a styrofoam cone and planter. Painted the cone dark brown and then hot glued the bulbs on. Diana

Christmas Cards

Just a quick post to show what I have been up to lately. Christmas Cards!!!! This first one is using a huge stamp and some ornaments. Lots of inking to soften the edges. This one is an aged and retouched photo of our house from last year.

New cartridge called A Child's Year.

This one was the hardest and funniest. I used DS to weld, flip and layer the penquins. Also a little puffy paint for the eyes and hat's pom poms.

Manicure in a Can

Abby's little friend had a b-day party this weekend so I was on a mission to find a 'no sharp edges' can opener so I could make this.

For The Teacher

At Parent-Teacher Conference Eli's teacher mentioned she needed some spinners for reading comprehension. I should have kept my mouth shut, instead, I spent almost two days making these. I am sure she didn't have anything this elaborate in mind...especially since the first graders won't even care! I hope Mrs. S remembers all the time they took me when report card time comes around!


To make the block I spray painted childrens' wooden blocks black and glued on paper using the permanent sticker maker. I then distressed and filed the paper and added the circles with the comprehension questions. I finished them with a coat of poly spray to protect and seal them.

The spinners are laminated scrapbooking paper with a decorative paperclip attached with a brad.

Key Rings

I so copied these from Chic n Scratch! But aren't they cute! KEY RINGS!!! I am always needing a piece of paper when I am out and about. And who ever forgets their keys!?! Diana

Wash Day

I love knitted cotton dish rags! They are the best! And they are fun to make. Especially for someone who has commitment phobia when it comes to crafting. And they are small enough that a complicated pattern isn't too scary.


Here are a few poems to give with them as gifts. Let me know which one you like best!

Another Christmas Card

I found some cute little plastic Christmas lights at walmart and knew I really needed them. And of course they needed to be strung on a cute little paper house!

First Christmas Card

Here is my first Christmas card to be made this year. I did a huge Santa stamp as the main element. Then lots of matting, a bit of ribbon and that's it. I did ink all the edges too. Diana

Witch Skirt

This year Abby has decided to be a witch for halloween. I made this really fun skirt out of fabric that she picked out. It was quick and easy, she loves the netting!

A Gumball Machine

Here is another card using the sweet treat cups. I did the snow globe from Doodlecharms and added a pole and base that I hand cut. I think it looks cool! Here is a side view that let's you see the skittles in the cup.

Sweet Treats Halloween Ghost

I just received the coolest thing. They are called sweet treat cups. Here is a card I made that has one right on the ghost tummy. If you look real hard, you can see the baby ghosts cookie sprinkles in the cup.

I used my cricut to cut out the ghost from Paperdolls Dress Up and stamped the inside of the card.

Spider Treat Pillows

Rhoda got me involved in teaching a few of her quilting buddies a class on using the Cricut. Like I'm an expert or something??? But I love to talk Cricut so here is the project we will be doing! I cut the pillow box from My Wedding, the gear like circle from Accents Essentials and the spider from Doodle Charms. The polka dot ribbon shows up better in person. I did this project because it uses a number of features from the Cricut including blackout and shadow. Should be fun! Diana

Abby was soooo busy!!

While Jenn was working in the craft closet, Abby had her own projects going. And when we took pics of Jenn's creations, Abby decided her's needed documenting too! And from at least three angles! This is a bird, sitting on an egg in a nest. Notice the bright pink legs. Front view.
